Jay chairs Fennemore Craig's Commercial Transactions section. He practices in the areas of real estate transactions and finance, which includes acquisition, infrastructure financing, entitlements, development and sale, as well as loan workouts, restructuring and enforcement. He represents a wide variety of national and local homebuilders, planned community developers, commercial and industrial developers, and financial institutions.
Jay finds that his clients are often passionate about their careers and are very entrepreneurial. As a result, their legal matters are very personal to them. He enjoys working to structure transactions and resolve disputes so all parties' concerns are addressed.
In addition to his work with clients, Jay serves on Fennemore Craig's five-person Management Committee. Outside of the office, he enjoys hiking, golfing, listening to country music and going to the theater. He considers his two adult children his life's greatest achievements.
