Daniel S. Cereghino

Dan Cereghino works in our business litigation practice group, focusing primarily on corporate governance / director liability, real property, employment, intellectual property (IP), and other business disputes. Dan also has experience in appellate and commercial transactional matters. 

Recognized as a “Legal Elite” by Nevada Business Magazine, Dan possesses an MBA along with his Juris Doctor degree, and this training allows him to thoroughly understand a client’s inner business workings, finding solutions to an array of complex problems. Generous with his legal knowledge, this seasoned business litigation attorney also provides pro bono counsel for the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada.

Away from his work as a business litigation attorney, Daniel enjoys spending time with his wife and five boys, as well as traveling and music. Conversant in Italian, he also loves cooking Italian food. Buon Appetito!

Representative Cases

  • Represented various defendants/counterclaimants throughout a lengthy case, including through two separate multi-week trials. The claims/counterclaims included misappropriation of trade secrets, intentional interference with contracts, breach of contract, fraud, and conversion. Both juries returned verdicts in favor of clients. 
  • Also represented some of these defendants in a related action in the U.S. District of Nevada on various intellectual property claims. Dan obtained dismissal with prejudice as to all claims. 
  • Also represented some of these defendants in the related appeal. The first jury verdict was fully affirmed. (The second verdict was remanded on a technicality, with dispositive motions and/or a third trial to follow in the near future.)
  • Represented a hospital and employees in a sexual harassment and racial discrimination claim.  Dan obtained summary judgment in the U.S. District of Nevada on all claims except on one. The matter subsequently resolved on favorable terms to the client.
  • Represented the City of Boulder City in an employment and religious discrimination action brought by its former Chief of Police. Dan obtained summary judgment on all claims in the U.S. District of Nevada. The Ninth Circuit affirmed in all respects.
