Fennemore Craig, a Mountain West business law firm with seven offices in three states with approximately 145 lawyers, is seeking a Chief Operating Officer. The COO reports directly to the President/Managing Partner and has responsibility for the firm’s overall administration, including operations, information technology, human resources, marketing and facilities management. (The firm’s CFO has responsibility for finance and accounting and is a co-equal report to the President and the Management Committee, along with the COO.) The successful candidate will have excellent academic credentials, proven executive and management skills and experience (preferably in a professional services environment), a strong background in law firm or corporate economics and profitability, and the skills to serve as the principal administrator of a major law firm. He or she will have the ability to think strategically to assist the firm in implementing its short and long-term plans. The compensation package is commensurate with the position and responsibilities.
