Fennemore Craig's Tax Practice Group represents clients in federal and state income, and estate, trust and gift tax matters. Currently, four of our attorneys are certified as tax specialists through the Arizona Board of Legal Specialization. In addition, the practice group has extensive experience in partnership, corporate and benefit tax issues.

The attorneys in the group have substantial experience in all aspects of organizing and representing nonprofit organizations.  This includes the incorporation of nonprofit organizations, tax-exempt financing, advising nonprofit boards of directors, conflict of interest policies, applications for recognition of exemption, revenue ruling requests, and charitable gift planning through the use of charitable remainder trusts and charitable lead trusts.

We represent clients in real property, personal property and transaction privilege tax matters and regularly represent clients in adversarial proceedings with state, county and local tax authorities in Arizona and other jurisdictions. The firm's tax practice also extends to the drafting of legislation for the Arizona State Legislature for purposes of redefining and expanding upon current statutory provisions dealing with these types of taxes.
