Fennemore Craig, P.C.Fennemore Craig, P.C. -- Celebrating 125 Years

Pro Bono

Fennemore Craig lawyers have been providing pro bono services for over one hundred years. We believe a person's income level should not prevent them from obtaining legal services, and are proud to represent on a pro bono basis a variety of persons of limited means and charitable organizations that assist those individuals.

Our pro bono committee oversees pro bono projects and is comprised of directors and associates from various practice groups and offices. All of the members of our pro bono committee actively provide pro bono services, and are responsible for delegating pro bono matters in our offices. We treat our pro bono clients the same as all other clients, utilizing the same resources and providing the same excellent client services. The time that our associates and of counsel spend on approved pro bono matters is credited toward billable work.

Our pro bono efforts include assistance with a wide variety of matters including asylum and immigration, estate planning, guardianship/guardian at-litem issues, landlord-tenant disputes, constitutional law, and real estate fraud. We also provide legal services for victims of major disasters such as the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Hurricane Katrina and devastating wildfires throughout our state and neighboring states. Fennemore Craig has formally partnered with several organizations and programs including "Attorney of the Day" for the Volunteer Lawyers Program, Save the Family, the Florence Project, and Wills For Heroes.

In general, we define pro bono work to mean the delivery of legal services without a fee to: (1) persons of limited means or to charitable organizations who assist persons of limited means; and (2) individuals, groups, or organizations seeking to secure or protect civil rights, civil liberties or public rights. We believe that our pro bono program not only provides legal services to the most needy members of our society, but also provides valuable training opportunities for our associates and fosters goodwill in our communities.
