FENNEMORE CRAIG SPONSORS WHITE TIGER AT THE REID PARK ZOO
March 2001
Reid Park Zoo introduced Catmandu, a male white tiger, into his temporary home on Thursday, March 15, 2001, where he will reside until October 1, 2001. The opportunity to exhibit this animal was made possible through a gift to the Tucson Zoological Society (TZS) by the Law Offices of Fennemore Craig. Catmandu will be on exhibit daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Regular Zoo admission fees apply.
Catmandu was approximately eight months old, when he came to Reid Park Zoo from Wildlife World Zoo in Litchfield Park, Arizona. Wildlife World Zoo, like Reid Park Zoo, is accredited through the American Zoo and Aquarium Association. Reid Park Zoo has been working with the American Zoo and Aquarium Association and the Species Survival Plan (SSP) coordinators to obtain another tiger, since the death of the Zoo's resident tiger earlier this year. This temporary exhibit will allow scientists time to make the best choices for the entire population of SSP tigers.
Fennemore Craig is proud to provide the Tucson community with the opportunity to view and learn about this rare and beautiful species of tiger and encourages area residents to experience this unique educational opportunity. Fennemore Craig is committed to providing support for cultural and educational initiatives in the Tucson community and throughout Arizona.
