James is a partner in the firm’s litigation section and a member of Fennemore Craig’s five-person Management Committee, the firm’s leadership team.
James has been featured on the cover of the American Lawyer, named one “America’s Techiest Lawyers”, and showcased as one of“20 leaders” among plaintiff trial lawyers” in the U.S.by Newsweek. James has also appeared on or been covered by CNN, CNBC, Good Morning America, Today, Fox News, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, US News & World Report, Inc., Forbes, Apple.com, USA Today, Above the Law, Attorney at Law Magazine(cover story) and more. He is a graduate of Harvard Law School, where he participated in the Program on Negotiation. Building on this foundation, he presents regularly on advanced negotiation and leadership. Goodnow received a BS from Santa Clara University, where he was elected Phi Beta Kappa and graduated first in his class.
James is active in the community. As a father of two, he has worked on and supported legislation aimed at saving the lives of children. He is a board member of the National Kidney Foundation of Arizona, and he is an active member of his church.
