James Goodnow, a Harvard Law grad, practices in the area of catastrophic injury and wrongful death litigation.

The National Trial Lawyers selected Goodnow for inclusion in its “Top 100 Trial Lawyers” list. North Valley Magazine featured him as one of the top four personal injury attorneys in the Valley. The National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys selected him for the “Top 10 Attorney Award, Under the Age of 40,” and he has been named to “40 Under 40” lists by the the Phoenix Business Journal, the American Society of Legal Advocates and the National Trial Lawyers. He has been named a Legal Network “top attorney” and a SuperLawyers® “Rising Star.” His peers have given him the highest-possible peer-review rating: AV-Preeminent.
Goodnow is active in the community. As a father of two, he has donated his time to helping create, draft and pass legislation aimed at saving the lives of children. He is a board member of the National Kidney Foundation of Arizona. He is an active member of his church. He has volunteered his time at The Arizona Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired, where he has also served as a board member. Within his firm, he helps new lawyers hone their trial skills as co-chair of the firm’s Advocacy Training Program. Every year he handles countless cases on behalf of victims pro-bono, and he has been selected and served pro-bono as a Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Pro Tempore.
