Ms. Downer's commercial litigation practice includes litigating a variety of business disputes, and contract and tort claims on behalf of corporate clients.  Ms. Downer represents clients in complex construction and development litigation and has been involved with a number of construction-related organizations since 2007. She has successfully defended and obtained dismissals for professionals, including attorneys, doctors, and architects against professional malpractice claims.  Ms. Downer’s practice includes working in the mining industry, defending mining companies in arbitration and litigation, conducting supervisor training, and investigating and defending harassment, discrimination, whistleblower, wrongful termination, and Federal Mine Safety and Health Act (MSHA) claims.

Ms. Downer is an active member of the Tucson community.  She currently serves on the Tucson Metro Chamber’s Public Policy Committee and volunteers her time with the Chamber’s Business Expansion and Retention (BEAR) project to help ensure that local companies stay and grow in Tucson.  Ms. Downer has been a member of the Primavera Cooks! Committee since 2009, helping to organize and support a series of dinner events that raise money for the Primavera Foundation.  Ms. Downer volunteered her time as a member of Catholic Community Services’ Board and Human Resources Committee for a number of years, and is a past member of the Junior League of Tucson.
