Fennemore Craig, P.C.Fennemore Craig, P.C. -- Celebrating 125 Years

Administrative Law and Government Procurement

Fennemore Craig’s Administrative Law practice covers client issues that intersect with a host of government agencies and departments at all levels. Our practice includes government procurement, government contract disputes, permitting and regulation enforcement, zoning and land use, tax, and litigation.

At the local government level, we represent clients before city and county boards, commissions, and departments on such issues as land use, environmental permits, zoning, condemnation, and tax.

We regularly appear on behalf of clients before state and local agencies, departments, boards and commissions. We often represent clients with the Arizona Departments of Environmental Quality, Insurance, Revenue, Transportation, Water Resources, and the State Land Department Office of Administrative Hearings. In addition, we are experienced in administrative proceedings before the Arizona Registrar of Contractors and the Arizona Department of Real Estate, the State Board of Equalization, the State Board of Tax Appeals, the State Appraisal Board and various other licensing agencies, including the Board of Medical Examiners, the Board of Dental Examiners, and the Board of Chiropractic Examiners. We practice before the Arizona Corporation Commission on securities and regulatory matters and our appellate attorneys have substantial experience appealing administrative decisions from such government agencies to the appropriate court.

At the federal level, we often represent clients before agencies that include the Environmental Protection Agency, Interstate Commerce Commission, Securities Exchange Commission, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Food and Drug Administration, Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management and National Park Service.

We also have an active practice representing clients on critical multi-state and multi-jurisdictional matters, particularly in federal water rights disputes and disputes where endangered species issues intersect development, industrial or agricultural uses. In addition, we continue to actively participate in rule and policy-making on issues like tax, endangered species, water, environment and land use, and a member of this practice currently serves on the Executive Committee of the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws.
